BASIS Community Meal Packing Event: 350 volunteers, 18 schools, 51,000 meals!

On 2/4/23, over 350 volunteers and students from 18 different schools joined hands with one common goal to serve those in need. We packed 51,392 meals in under 3 hours for Fremont and Ukraine. Special thanks go BASIS Independent Fremont for raising money and hosting this annual community meal packing event!

On 1/26 morning nearly 900 Forest Park Elementary students, staff and volunteers came together packing over 31,000 meals to help feed hungry tummies! These meals will support our local food pantry and regions with the most critical needs via our partnership with Convoy of Hope.

On 2/4/23, over 350 volunteers and students from 18 different schools united joining hands to serve those in need. We packed 51,392 meals in under 3 hours for Fremont and Ukraine. Special thanks to BASIS Independent Fremont for fundraising and hosting our annual community meal packing event! Thank you Alemeda County Supervisor Haubert and Fremont Mayor Mei for coming to support the event. BASIS Coach Andy shaved his head in front of the school celebrating exceeding the $10k/40k meal count goal. The packed meals leave for Ukrain on 2/8.
