The compassionate students from Azevada Elementary, California School for the Blind, and California School for the Deaf joined hands to pack over 19,000 meals to help feed the hungry.
The BASIS Independent Fremont Lower School Director Mr. Wagoner set a fundraising challenge to shave his head if the students met their fundraising goal to help support the Fremont community meal packing event. The students rocked the house as they witnessed the very moving head-shaving ceremony. Over 350 pairs of hands packed over 33,000 meals for those in need during the holidays. Thank you BASIS Independent Fremont!
So proud of our Chadbourne Joshua Elementary School Pioneers for packing over 20,000 meals this morning to help those most in need. The kindergarteners and 1st graders are not quite old enough to pack the meals but they worked really hard to decorate the meal bags with caring messages and cheers for the packers.
